The "2×36MVA titanium slag electric furnace complete set for a 600,000-ton titanium concentrate project in Sichuan" recently celebrated a significant milestone with the successful completion of the electric arc furnace tapping operation. As the largest titanium slag furnace in China, the successful operation of this equipment demonstrates the company's technological expertise in titanium resource deep processing and marks a significant achievement in the project's construction and commissioning.

The electric furnace that successfully tapping is an advanced 36MVA AC circular closed titanium slag electric furnace, representing the advanced level of titanium slag smelting in China.

The project adopts a mature process route with its own characteristics, and the core highlights include:

1. Efficient Production: This furnace effectively implements a circular economy model through efficient energy utilization and significantly reduced heat loss.

2. Intelligent Continuous Smelting: The innovative continuous charging and slag-iron separation smelting process ensures continuous and stable charging of titanium concentrate to the furnace, while simultaneously achieving efficient slag-iron separation during the smelting process, significantly improving production efficiency and operational stability.

3. Green Circular Economy: The electric furnace system integrates a gas recovery function, effectively recycling the gas generated during the smelting process, turning waste into valuable resources, reducing energy consumption, and implementing the concept of green, low-carbon development.

4. Advanced and Reliable Technology: The project fully draws on and integrates the proven experience of direct smelting and reduction of titanium concentrates at home and abroad, utilizing a reliable "titanium concentrate batching-direct reduction" technology route to ensure the overall reliability and advanced technology.

The entire process, from equipment installation and commissioning to successful iron tapping, embodies the meticulous efforts of the Xiye technical team and the on-site construction team.

During the design phase:

The technicians deeply integrated mature experience in titanium slag smelting at home and abroad, tailoring the process route to the characteristics of Sichuan titanium concentrate. Through numerous computer simulations and experimental data, they ensured that the reduction efficiency and stability of the 36MVA electric furnace reached industry-leading levels.
The construction team overcame multiple challenges during equipment installation—from transporting and positioning the ultra-large furnace to precisely commissioning the electrical system, consistently controlling key processes with millimeter-level precision, laying a solid foundation for the first-time successful power supply of the equipment. During the continuous monitoring period following commissioning, they worked in shifts around the clock, optimizing the charging rhythm and furnace parameters in real time, ultimately achieving stable operation of the slag-iron separation process.
